Instead finance, the focus of ReFi is to align incentives to create something that has a greater value, after the process is done. New blockchains, like Celo and the wider ecosystem around it, are an example of this. Celo is a blockchain that is carbon-negative. This means they reduce the carbon emission every time the blockchain is used. It is one of many upcoming new use-cases in ReFi that are made possible by blockchain technology.
